Description
I had a day off from band camp so I decided to color a sketch of my Pokemon Trainer OC that I made a month ago but never got around to finishing. 
Anyways, her name is Machiko. She regularly partcipates in Gym Battles and Contests for badges and ribbons, but finds that lifestyle to be very hectic. She actually dreams of becoming one of the world's few female Pokemon researchers, but she would never admit it to anyone.
Machiko began her journey at age 10 just like every other trainer, but she was strongly discouraged by her parents. They are both hard Pokemon doctors, with their work being their top priority. Because of that, she was mainly raised by her grandmother, a Pokemon Daycare worker. Her grandmother had always told her to follow her dreams no matter what.
Machiko's parents encouraged her to enroll in the Pokemon Academy to begin medical training rather than wasting her time with a Pokemon journey, just like her parents had done when they were her age. But the night before she turned 10, she ran away from home. The only trace she left behind was a letter to grandmother, saying she had to leave to follow her and thanking her for everything.
She is generally free willing person, but likes things to be organized and structured. She sometimes freaks out when too many unpredictable things happen in a single day, but luckily her traveling partner is there is calm her down (male; yet to be named or designed).
Machiko met her traveling partner while trying to catch her first Pokemon (a Pachirisu), other than her starter Pokemon. They both got their at the same time and decided to battle for it, but she won. (Actually, he could've beat her easy, but he thought she was kinda cute so he let her win, lol.) They then decided to travel together. Machiko had a small crush on him for a little while, but eventually gave up. (He has liked her the whole time and still does, though.)
